At East End Printing Collective (EEPC), our mission is to make printmaking accessible to everyone and foster a creative community in Houston. We believe in the power of art to bring people together, inspire creativity, and enrich our cultural landscape. By providing affordable access to high-quality printmaking facilities, education, and events, we aim to support both emerging and established artists, as well as engage the wider community in the art of printmaking.
Our History
Founded in 2024 by a group of passionate artists and community leaders, EEPC emerged from the need for a dedicated printmaking space in Houston’s vibrant East End. With the closure of the Houston Printing Museum, we seized the opportunity to carry forward its legacy by acquiring its state-of-the-art equipment and creating a new hub for print arts. Our founders, deeply rooted in the local arts scene, envisioned a collective where artists of all backgrounds could come together to learn, create, and collaborate.
Our Facilities
EEPC is housed in a spacious, 2,200-square-foot storefront located at 708 Telephone Rd. Suite E, in the heart of Houston’s East End. Our facilities include:
- Fully-Equipped Print Studio: Featuring letterpress, intaglio, lithography, screen printing, and book arts equipment.
- Classroom Spaces: Dedicated areas for workshops, classes, and demonstrations.
- Gallery and Exhibition Space: A venue for showcasing the work of our members and hosting community art events.
- Community Lounge: A welcoming space for artists to meet, collaborate, and engage with one another.
Our Team
Our team is comprised of experienced artists, educators, and community organizers who are passionate about printmaking and arts education. EEPC leadership will be announced in the middle of June.
